The Walt Disney Studios Experience

Well, my current and most recent business trip has been very much unlike others. I am usually visiting a small bank in Walnut Creek, CA or Florence, KY or even Nashville, TN but this week I find myself on the back lot of Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. This is a picture of the building I worked in all day today which is just past sound stage 6, Desperate Housewives is filmed in there.....didn't see any though!

I parked in the ZORO parking lot after showing the proper credentials. The Frank G Wells Building which is what you see here was a short walk down a back lot road. It was a very cool experience. The nature of most of our business clients has lots to do with OIL, Banking, Insurance, etc. Blah, Blah, Blah......but big time movie making, now there is some fun data to convert and set up! There is a division of the company for almost every film that is made (not to mention many bank accounts). Anyway, dealing with the issues of a huge production company like Disney was a welcomed experience. Right outside of conference room A was this antique movie camera you see here. This camera was originally used to obtain layered effects in the movie Snow White. Anyway, I hope to get back here soon and perhaps see more of what goes on behind the scenes. The security was interesting, I had to go through all sorts of things to get onto the lot but once on, it seems like I could have wondered anywhere I wanted to! Next time I will!
